I've been potty training in my home for 15 years!

Always being silly at our house!
How Potty time friends came about:
I have been working with young children for over 20 years doing various jobs such as babysitting, working in daycares, working with autistic children one on one, and teaching. I was introduced to many potty training methods long before having my own children and had tried several, for example potty boot camp, potty party, the totally bare method, and just gradually waiting for the child.
After having my first child I started doing childcare and along with this fulfilling job came potty training. And I had a system that the parents and I worked together on to help the child. When it was time to potty train my own son I planned to do the potty boot camp method and we made a weekend of it. I talked with my sister and she agreed to help and have her daughter join. We had four kids doing this all together in my kitchen, my niece, 2 childcare kids and my son.
To prepare for this I bought all the snacks and juices and then did something special for all the kids… I made potty boot camp t-shirts. These shirts had a large picture of a potty and said potty boot camp… the kids loved their shirts and knew what they were for without being told because of the potty picture. The kids wore these t-shirts and underpants all weekend… I made plenty knowing they were going to get dirty.
The boot camp was a success, one of the four kids being the youngest did not walk away potty trained, but we considered it a huge accomplishment. About 2 years later I came across one of those t-shirts and remember how excited the kids were to have these… so I started brainstorming and came up with the Potty Time Friends.
